Practice Opportunity – Knoxville, TN

Our Practice group is looking for a dedicated Doctor of Optometry who is self-motivated, possess strong diagnostic skills, and a desire for delivering primary eye care. This position allows for part time or or full time hours. As a full-scope practice we specialize in routine eye exams, fitting of glasses and contact lenses, as well as the diagnosis and management of eye diseases. We provide eye care to a wide range of patient populations including healthy children and adults, geriatric patients with various ocular diseases and Medicaid patients.  Experienced ODs and New Grads welcome.
This position is available at our Knoxville location, just across the Tennessee River from Downtown Knoxville.  Neyland Stadium is the backdrop to our office in an area full of revitalization.  Enjoy mild weather during all four seasons with many outdoor activities to choose from.

Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities

Your regular duties will include:
• Perform comprehensive eye exams
• Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
• Prescribe corrective lenses
• Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
• Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
• Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress

Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications
• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
• Valid Tennessee state license to practice optometry
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
• Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
